welcome

Darryl is a Programmer/Analyst for the Department of Computing Services at the University of Saskatchewan. He is currently on contract to the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department of the University Libraries, doing a variety of cool things like Unix and NT systems administration, web and database server administration, and lots of Java and Perl.

He has a vivid imagination, the attention span of a six year-old, and is the life of the party (or would be if he had a life and went to parties). Oh, and if you hadn't noticed already, he rarely takes life (or much of anything else) very seriously.

On May 11, 1996 he got married. Some co-workers were kind enough to capture the festivities on digital camera. Sorry, the server with the pictures has died.

[Dog] In April 1997, he and his wife Shannon celebrated an addition to the family; an overly excitable Shepherd/Lab cross named Sophie.

On March 12, 2000, the family grew by one again. This time it was a human addition. Noah William Friesen. Despite his diminutive stature he's put together his own web site.

August 12, 2002 saw another addition arrive to the Friesen family; a little girl. Emma Grace. Hopefully I'll get some pictures of her up soon as well.
